Hello,
My name is Hekma Yassin. I am a recent graduate from the University of Washington, where I majored in Interactive Media Design and minored in Informatics. I am interested in user experience, visual design, web design/development, and innovation design. I also was a student representative of Interactive Media Design Department. I also had a great opportunity in being an Undergraduate Researcher for Virtual Reality in Public Libraries at the University of Washington Information School.
My passion for design came from when I was able to fix my parent's screen door, which was broken for over 10 years. One day I turned my head upside down and realized that the lock and the screen door was upside down and the screen door was never broken. From that day on I became in love with solving problems, creating and innovating. As I have become fascinated with human-centered design and the different technology, products, and platforms we can make that could assist people.
